From regulation to competitive advantage: your DPP blueprint in the oLAB
Experience product compliance on-site - and master it strategically with the "Twin Transformation".
The introduction of product compliance, such as the Digital Product Passport (DPP), is much more than just an EU regulatory requirement. It is the key to sustainable and resilient value creation. Visit us at the DPP oLAB in Cologne or find out more online. We can help you bridge the gap between complex obligations and digital value creation.

Strategic value creation with the Twin Transformation
A Digital Product Passport isn’t just another IT initiative – it touches the core of how your company runs. To make sure the DPP becomes an enabler rather than a bureaucratic burden, Impact Strategies connects two worlds that are too often kept apart: value-driven sustainability strategy and digital execution excellence. We call this Twin Transformation.
What this means for you:
-
From purpose to business value: We don’t start with a tool – we start with strategic value creation. Together, we identify where product compliance (including the DPP) can strengthen your business: enabling circular models, improving after-sales services, increasing transparency, and building resilience in your markets.
-
Regulatory requirements under control: We turn complex requirements such as ESPR, PPWR, and EUDR into clear priorities and practical next steps. This keeps your compliance rock solid over time – while the oLAB already lets you experience how these data points become visible on the product.
-
Seamless implementation: As an osapiens Gold Partner, we bring deep digital expertise. We integrate the osapiens solution directly into your existing IT landscape (ERP, PLM, PIM). In doing so, we ensure clean data governance and analysis so that information arrives where it is needed – without creating new data silos.
Impact Strategies is part of the Gofore Group, which has entered into a close strategic partnership with esentri AG. We support you end-to-end – from the first roadmap to global rollout.
Synergy triangle: the power of the ecosystem
Ensuring product compliance in the age of ESPR, PPWR, and EUDR takes tightly coordinated teamwork. That’s exactly what our ecosystem is built for: it combines the technological innovation of the osapiens SaaS hub, the strategic depth of Impact Strategies, and the delivery power of the Gofore Group.
At the core, osapiens serves as the central data hub for product compliance, consolidating regulatory requirements into a structured digital product identity. Impact Strategies turns regulation into tangible business cases and creates the foundation for strategic value creation. The Gofore Group then brings it to life – implementing the solution and seamlessly connecting your systems and master data so requirements become operational processes.
The result: you’re not just installing software. You’re building a scalable architecture that connects technical compliance – your “license to operate” – with measurable business value.

Our Insights
Q&A: Insights into Compliance & DPP
What exactly is the Digital Product Passport (DPP)?
The DPP is a standardized digital data model that bundles all relevant information about a product throughout its entire life cycle. It makes the "story" of a product – from the origin of the materials to its recyclability - visible, traceable and measurable. It therefore acts as the EU's central tool for making sustainability a mandatory requirement for market access.
How are regulations such as ESPR, PPWR and EUDR changing the requirements for product compliance in the EU?
The European regulatory landscape is currently undergoing fundamental change. There is a shift from selective testing obligations to a system based on complete transparency and traceability across the entire product life cycle. The Ecodesign Regulation (ESPR) sets new sustainability standards for almost all physical goods. The Packaging Ordinance (PPWR) and the Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) supplement this framework with specific requirements for the recyclability of packaging and proof of deforestation-free supply chains. To make this growing complexity manageable, the Digital Product Passport (DPP) acts as a central, horizontal tool. It bundles all these compliance requirements into a single digital identity. In this new environment, an excellent database is essential in order to obtain the "License to Operate". Without this license, legally compliant market access in the EU will no longer be possible in the future.
Why is the "Twin Transformation" approach better than a pure software implementation?
Projects often fail because sustainability strategy and technical implementation are not coordinated with each other. Our Twin Transformation approach brings these worlds together: Impact Strategies provides the strategic "what & why", while the Gofore Group handles the technical implementation and connection of your master data. In this way, we ensure that compliance is not just a cost center, but becomes a data-driven competitive advantage.
How do we ensure that business secrets remain protected despite the transparency obligation?
We use a "Trade Secret Safe" concept that guarantees technical sovereignty over your data and protects your IP rights. The decentralized concept of the DPP system prevents data from being copied into a central database. Instead, the data is linked in a targeted manner. Granular access management allows you to control exactly which user – whether customer, authority or recycler – is allowed to view which information.
What does the "DPP Quick Assessment" involve and why is it the ideal starting point?
The DPP Quick Assessment is a structured introduction at a fixed price. As part of this offer, we carry out a "legacy audit" on one of your standard products. Our range of services includes the discovery of hidden data sources, the precise identification of gaps in the current regulatory framework (data gap analysis) and the creation of an IP protection concept. The result is a validated roadmap including budget planning, which gives you planning security before major investments are made.
How does the osapiens platform help me to manage several regulations at the same time?
The osapiens HUB is a central data hub that operationalizes requirements such as CSRD, EUDR and the DPP on a single platform. Instead of setting up a separate isolated solution for each new regulation, it is advisable to use a consistent data master for the entire compliance repertoire. This significantly reduces the complexity of your IT landscape and ensures efficient, scalable reporting.
What are the DPPs "Route Compliance" and "Route Value"? What is the difference?
-
Route Compliance is an efficient mandatory solution for your company. Your priority is to meet the legal information and documentation obligations (e.g. according to ESPR or PPWR) in order to ensure your legally compliant marketability ("License to Operate").
-
Route Value goes a decisive step further as a strategic freestyle. As part of "Circular Design Sprints" or "Strategic Discovery", we specifically identify real value levers for your company. The digital product passport thus develops from a purely mandatory task into a profitable tool that enables new service models, increased customer loyalty and greater resilience.
The main difference lies in the objective: while the Compliance route primarily aims to minimize regulatory risks, the Value route enables the transformation of compliance requirements into a valid business model that generates additional revenue and measurable efficiency benefits.
How can I experience these solutions live and what are the next steps?
In the DPP oLAB in the GS1 building in Cologne, you have the opportunity to experience at various stations how data flows become transparent and sustainability measurable. The next step is a joint strategy meeting, followed by a quick assessment to check the company's data reality. You are welcome to contact us for an on-site "espresso meeting" or a virtual appointment to start your individual Twin Transformation.
